Sean Joyce

Sean combines nearly 15 years of legislative, crisis communications, campaign management, coalition management, and corporate client experience on behalf of Atlas Crossing clients. Joyce has represented companies before Congress and the Administration covering a diverse range of issues, including Uber, Virgin, PepsiCo, The Home Depot, FaceFirst, United Technologies, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Capitol Collection Management, US Travel Association, Space-X, and DiSH Networks.
Having recently left Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff for Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC), who serves as the top Republican on the Financial Services Committee, Joyce provides counsel to clients on strategic engagement with Congress and the Administration. As Chief of Staff, Joyce directed day-to-day operations for McHenry while overseeing the nexus where politics and policy met communications and outreach. Sean honed his legislative successes when McHenry was tapped to be the top whip by Majority Whip Steve Scalise (LA).
Prior to his time with McHenry, Sean held a variety of Senior Staff positions for Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (PA), including Legislative Director, Communications Director, National Security Advisor, and Campaign Manager. Sean has extensive experience in managing national political campaigns, crisis comms in addition to issue-based coalition management.
Sean is currently the Executive Director of the S.H.I.P Coalition, comprised of 80+ companies including Fortune50 and Fortune500 agribusinesses, chemical companies, transportation services, shipper, retailers, beverage companies and aggregates including: Anheuser-Busch, American Chemistry Council, Tyson Foods, International Paper, West Rock, PepsiCo, Old Castle Materials, Coca Cola, The Home Depot, Campbell’s, Niagara Bottling, American Forest & Paper, National Cattleman Beef Association, Smithfield, and Dairy Farmers of America, to name a few.
